For more than twenty years, Matt Johnson has shaped Jamiroquai's jazzy-funk sound, both on keyboards and in writing and production. A discreet but central role, which has established him among the most reliable musicians on the scene, capable of making a track groove with just two chords as well as weaving more sophisticated harmonies, always in the service of the piece.
Outside Jamiroquai, he has also lent his keyboards and ideas to very different worlds, from Dizzee Rascal to Duffy, including Lizzo and Purple Disco Machine. This versatility is reflected on stage: for this concert, he arrives with his own project, a six-piece band tailored for live performance, blending jazz, funk and soul, with a real emphasis on collective playing.
