Ministry roll into Rock City in Nottingham on April 9, 2027, with their Hate To Go - Goodbye Europe 2027 tour. Led since 1981 by Al Jourgensen, the band has undergone several incarnations before finding its ideal friction zone: a meeting of cold electronics, mechanical rhythms, and guitars that pound hard, somewhere between rock and industrial metal. After earlier synth-pop/new wave beginnings on With Sympathy, Ministry shifted to a decidedly more abrasive sound with Twitch, then laid the foundations of its identity on The Land of Rape and Honey and The Mind Is a Terrible Thing to Taste. In the 1990s, the band pushed the tension further on Psalm 69, before exploring heavier and denser formats on Filth Pig and Dark Side of the Spoon. Returning to activity in 2011, Ministry continues to move forward with a drier production, sharper electronic textures, and overt political themes, as heard on AmeriKKKant, Moral Hygiene, or Hopium for the Masses. On stage, it is a front-line live machine, designed for impact and movement.
