Born Davon Bryant-James in Washington DC, dreamcastmoe draws from hip hop, house, hazy electronics, and the city's own go-go sound, moving fluidly between R&B, funk, soul, jazz, and talk-rap with a stylistic coherence that traces directly back to DC's neighbourhoods and their music. His voice is the thread that holds it together, capable of slow falsetto, swaggering croon, and everything in between, powered by an instinct for connection.
