Overmono arrive at Rough Trade East in London on 6 August 2026 for a DJ set conceived as a direct extension of their current activity. Behind this name are the Welsh brothers Tom and Ed Russell, also known for their projects Truss and Tessela, gathered here in a club-ready format, but never confined to a single genre.
The duo has established themselves by navigating between techno, breakbeat, UK garage, and bass music, with that sense of fractured rhythm and thick basslines that grab you quickly. Their approach to processing sampled vocals, melodic textures, and nerve-wracking percussion yields dense, precise sets that can tilt from a euphoric moment to a more raw tension in a few measures.
This Rough Trade appearance marks the release of their new album Pure Devotion, on XL Recordings, and promises a selection closely aligned with their DNA: rave culture, jungle heritage, and contemporary electronic writing.
