On 13 October 2026, Erykah Badu will perform at Koninklijk Theater Carré in Amsterdam with IMEHO: An Intimate Experience, a live concept that revolves around the moment. No prepared script or fixed show as you know it, but improvisation as the starting point: her voice, piano and percussion form the core, and from there everything is built on the spot.
IMEHO is not a tour, but an alter ego through which Badu lets her work unfold in real time and disappear again once the lights go down. She does keep a setlist as 'guardrails,' but do not expect an evening that dutifully follows the familiar milestones. Badu describes herself first and foremost as a performance artist: it’s about the exchange with the audience, about that one shared flow in which the music can go in all directions. What you hear in Amsterdam, then, is not a repetition of previous work, but a unique version that exists only that evening.
