GiedRé, what she loves most in life is writing funny songs about things that aren’t very funny. And what she loves even more is singing her funny songs about not-so-funny things on stage, because the stage lights are very bright and they make her look ten years younger. At least that’s what she believes, but people aren’t fooled. So she heads back on tour, with a new formula, no fries but with her hits, at least in the eyes of her family (which confuses her with Barbra Streisand all the time).
For as long as she has waited in this dark room, she has written nearly 150 songs, perhaps more, but she can’t count beyond that (after all, you rarely need to count past 150). So she chose her favorites, the people’s favorites, wrote some new ones, and here she goes again on the road to sing to those who are far from home but have something in their eyes that hurts. But if you’re not far from home and nothing in your heart hurts, come anyway, if only to check whether the stage lights really do make you look younger. And if you don’t get the reference, as the youngsters say, brush up on your classics.
