On October 20, 2026, at Atabal in Biarritz, Suffocation returns to let loose the powder with Hymns from the Apocrypha era (2023). After more than three decades spent shaping a dense, no-frills death metal, the New Yorkers lay out their recipe: razor-sharp riffs, neck-breaking rhythms, crisp accelerations and heavier passages, with that distinctive old-school flavor at the core. Recorded and produced by the band, this ninth album preserves an organic approach while allowing for a few more progressive detours. And on stage, the arrival of Ricky Myers on vocals adds a new texture, without changing the brutal DNA that has earned the band's reputation since Long Island.
Alongside them, Ingested represents Manchester's extreme scene. The British trio blends brutal death, slam, and touches of deathcore, with massive riffs, staccato patterns, and a guttural, front-facing growl. Across their records, up to Ashes Lie Still (2022), they have refined a balance between direct impact, heavy groove, and darker atmospheres, crafted for the live show.
