Michel Fugain returns to the stage with 'C’est l’Histoire d’une Belle Histoire' (This Is the Story of a Beautiful Story), a show that spans more than five decades of Francophone song, balancing popular hits with more personal pieces. A writer, composer and performer, he left his mark in the 1970s with the collective adventure of Big Bazar, that great vocal and festive laboratory where the choirs, arrangements and the energy of the group were in tune with the songs. It is here that one senses his love for shared singing, choruses that bring people together and melodies instantly recognizable, not to mention writing that is direct and human-centered, which has always accompanied his career. From Fais comme l’oiseau to Une belle histoire, through La fête, Fugain presents a repertoire known to all, but crafted for the stage: breathing spaces, surges, and that distinctly his own way of telling his career as a succession of chapters.
