Kadavar

What is still missing, deep down, before the apocalypse? Fire raining from the sky? Locusts? Oceans of blood? If not, everything is already here. Obviously, not since yesterday: as far back as 2017, Kadavar was already traversing its own end-of-the-world scenario with Rough Times. Eight years on, the verdict is unequivocal: things have grown much worse. Once again, the Berlin-based rock group answers this reality with music, delivering a sound markedly rawer, heavier, denser and darker than on its latest releases: K.A.D.A.V.A.R. is, in effect, a second debut album, a new landmark work that marries the obsession with riffs from their early days with the cosmic creativity of their four-piece lineup. Where the previous record delved more into the byways, this one rediscovers groove. Where airy atmospheres once dominated, the riff reclaims the power. The band wanted to reclaim big riffs, with the aim of crafting heavy and massive hard rock again.

The depth of the themes addressed is also a novelty in Kadavar's universe. Where I Just Want To Be A Sound explored inner conflicts, K.A.D.A.V.A.R. deliberately turns its gaze outward. It’s a world-ending album, more disillusioned, more furious, harder, more biting. A frank accounting of everything that isn’t right in the world. And destruction will be a major theme: the martial kick drum opening Lies, followed by that massive, buzzing riff, evokes a moment of Iron Man (Black Sabbath) before giving way to a groove that immediately shows the band hasn’t lost any of its craft. Kadavar will be performing at La Belle Electrique on December 1, 2026 at 7:00 PM.

Scott Hepple and The Sun Band

Scott Hepple and The Sun Band is a psychedelic and garage rock group based in the United Kingdom, currently signed to Rise Above/Popclaw Records. After self-releasing two albums in 2023 and 2024 and undertaking numerous tours (notably headlining Jack White's Third Man Records in London and supporting Love, Johnny Echols' band), the group will release its third album, English Mustard, on Rise Above/Popclaw Records on May 2, 2025. English Mustard was produced by Liam Watson (The White Stripes, Tame Impala, Electric Wizard) at Mike Oldfield's Tilehouse Studios, using entirely analog equipment. The band will tour the United Kingdom and Europe throughout 2025 to promote the release of the album.
