Formed in Plano, Texas, around guitarists Tim Henson and Scott LePage, Polyphia quickly carved out a distinctive place in the instrumental scene, initially propelled by the track 'Impassion' and the EP Inspire. Since then, the quartet—with Clay Gober on bass and Clay Aeschliman on drums—has stretched its playing field well beyond the metal and shred of its early days. What defines Polyphia’s signature is this hyper-precise blend of instrumental rock and prog, with hip-hop, funk, pop sensibilities, and electronic textures. Punchy rhythms, millimetric melodic cuts, trap-leaning nods: everything interlocks without vocals, yet with a true narrative. From Muse to Renaissance, then New Levels New Devils, the band refined this taut and catchy writing, before widening the spectrum again with Remember That You Will Die, where contrasts are embraced and collaborations invited, such as Steve Vai on 'Ego Death'. Polyphia will be in Paris on December 9, 2026 at the Zénith in Paris for its 'Tour - MMXXVI'.
