As soon as Julien Santini steps onto the stage, reality begins to dance a two-step with poetry. Between offbeat stand-up and deliciously twisted humor, he unfurls his life as one would unfurl a treasure map, moving from his origins to his shattered dreams of cinema, from his years spent in a suit-and-tie in the civil service to the stage where he describes the man he loves to be, that magnificent loser who is irritated by the slightest thing… Not sparing anyone, and above all not himself, he juggles silence, the absurd, and excess, switching from the gentlest burlesque to the most elegant provocation in the blink of an eye. Laughter is born, then it transforms. With him, through him, we laugh, we wonder why we laugh so hard, and suddenly we recognize ourselves in the chaos he brings to light. Unclassifiable, unpredictable, almost mystical in his benevolent absurdity, Santini invites us to a show at the Palais des Congrès in Perpignan where poetry and chaos waltz together, where each sketch becomes a small inner revolution, a rendezvous that does not tell the world but twists it just enough for us to finally see it as it is.
