Info
Schlaasss
Legend has it that Charlie Dirty and Daddy Schwartz met in 2012 at a conference on personal development through screaming yoga. It was after this meeting that they formed the group Schlaasss with Kiki, the beatmaker-guru specializing in coaching through inner massage, and Mekki, an Indigo child filmmaker with a distinctive vibrational frequency.
Some compare them to Sexy Sushi, which they’ve never listened to; others to Stupeflip, of which no member of the group knows more than two tracks; some talk of punk, yes perhaps, if you’re not looking for a historical reconstruction with uniforms. Others talk of rap; that could work since rap doesn’t mean much anymore. In any case, the group Schlaasss mocks everything: punk, rap, Monoprix, Casino, Prisunic, Total, and what one must or mustn’t say to be accepted in a village of inbred fools.
Corto Malaise
With a hint of France’s cold 80s, a dose of synth-punk, all blended in a Berlin mixer: the Corto Malaise recipe leaves a distinctly spiteful aftertaste.
Fueled by not-quite-gratuitous hatred, the two-headed monster fires real bullets over a backdrop of a boom-boom beat that makes you dance, welcoming rage, anguish and other dark feelings into a festive outlet.
