SIDEPIECE arrives at Commonwealth in Calgary on July 12, 2026, with their duo tailor-made for the club and long nights. Behind this collaborative project are Dylan Ragland and Ricky Mears, two producers already well established under the names Party Favor and Nitti Gritti. Together, they forge a house and tech house approach focused on the DJ set's efficiency: basslines that loop, a tight groove, vocals chopped into hooks and breaks designed to re-energize the room.
Launched in the late 2010s, SIDEPIECE quickly made a name for itself with "On My Mind," their collaboration with Diplo released in 2019, a track that neatly encapsulates their formula: direct vocal house, calibrated to grab listeners without losing the thread. Since then, the duo has released singles and remixes on international electronic labels, while maintaining a very dancefloor-oriented approach, blending US house influences, more melodic touches, and tightly crafted builds. On stage, that very mechanism takes precedence: a set built to circulate energy, from the first kick drum to the final transitions.
