If you grew up with edgy guitars and hooks that cling to you, the date is clear: April 30, 2027, at The Prospect Building (Bristol), Gene leads the dance for an all-dayer tailor-made for lovers of indie and British alt-rock.
Among the lineup, The Wedding Present will remind us what it means to play fast and straight, balancing post-punk tension with jangly melodies, with David Gedge's direct writing in the spotlight. EMF brings back its mix of alternative rock and dance-pulse, with tight riffs, samples and a knack for a hook, not content to rest on the memory of 'Unbelievable'. And Stereo MC's take on the groove, where hip-hop, house and funk intersect with club-ready efficiency that spans decades.
Joining them are Ned’s Atomic Dustbin, Miki Berenyi Trio, The Primitives, plus some very special guests. The whole event is hosted by Marc & Jase Jones, with Shiiine On DJ sets to keep the tempo between performances.
