Chuck Ragan, folk punk singer-songwriter from Houston, Texas, will perform at The Crescent in York. Co-singer and guitarist of the punk rock band Hot Water Music since the mid-1990s, he has led a more acoustic solo career since 2005. His music blends folk punk, Americana, indie rock and country, with narrative songwriting focused on themes of the road, work and community.
His solo studio albums include Feast or Famine (2007), Gold Country (2009), Covering Ground (2011) and Till Midnight (2014), as well as the original soundtrack for the video game The Flame in the Flood (2016). Alongside his solo concerts and ongoing work with Hot Water Music, he launched The Revival Tour, a series of collaborative tours bringing together songwriters from the punk and folk scenes on stage.
