For about ten years, Il Est Vilaine has bridged club and rock, with this nerve-wracking, slightly dirty electro that draws as much from new wave as from techno, from disco as from surf rock. Formed in Paris, the duo has built a distinctive identity: tempos that are often restrained, repetitive basslines, dark textures, and a taste for atmospheres that tell a story, between cold wave and imaginary soundtracks.
On stage, Il Est Vilaine navigates between live electronic performance and a DJ-set spirit, always keeping the dancefloor in sight, without renouncing its post-punk references. On Friday, March 26, 2027, they come to lay down their Parisian dark disco at the Centre Culturel John Lennon in Limoges, for a set where the hypnotic hum of the machines meets a taut rock energy.
