As It Is returns to the stage with a blend of pop-punk, emo, and alternative rock forged between Brighton and Minnesota. Since their debut in 2012, the band has moved forward with melodic hooks and tense guitars, with lyrics that speak of doubt, relationships, and mental health—without varnish. Their journey has often changed its skin, but the identity remains clear: straightforward songs designed to be sung in unison, capable of shifting from a very pop-punk energy to darker, more emphatic tones. For this July 18, 2026 show at DUST, Brighton, As It Is highlights what makes them strong: catchy writing, an assured emotional tension, and a band presence that feels as much like a rock live performance as it does a direct, front-facing connection with the audience.
