For the first time, EMI North and DIY are combining forces to show off emerging talent from the North for one night at The Lexington on Wednesday 8 July. There will be 4 sets across the night including:
- Walt Disco: The Glasgow 5-piece combine alt-rock with modular synths for an intense live show. They have toured the world, playing at SXSW, The Great Escape and across Europe, they are regularly on the 6 Music airwaves and they have been featured by DIY, Rolling Stone, The Gay Times and more.
- KOJ: The punk panther himself. In an age of political unrest and cultural fragmentation, Liverpool’s KOJ steps forward as a working-class figure and voice who refuses to look away. Operating between the worlds of grime, rap and punk, he uses this fusion of genres to speak plainly about social division and austerity.
- Finn Forster: With a voice forged in the cold winds and hardness of his North East home, Finn has had a busy last 18 months, with appearances on nearly every BBC Introducing stage across the land, support from BBC Radio 1, and stadium support tours across the UK and EU with Stereophonics.
- Lucky Iris: The crunchy, angelic, party-starting hyperpop infused duo Lucky Iris have been racking up fans across the country. With support from DIY, Rolling Stone, Wonderland, NME (included in NME’s 100 for 2026 list), CLASH, 6 Music and ending 2025 as one of Spotify UK’s Class of 2025.
