Cock Robin « Tour 2027 »

On May 19, 2027, Cock Robin will perform at SPOT/De Oosterpoort in Groningen as part of the 'Tour 2027'. The band formed in the early 1980s in San Francisco around songwriter and singer Peter Kingsbery, with the distinctive dialogue between voices that makes their sound instantly recognizable. Their mix of pop rock, new wave and melodic pop leans on clear song structures, synths and guitars, with choruses that linger without embellishment. After the early releases in the second half of the 1980s, Cock Robin remained a fixture in Europe. The group disbanded in the early 1990s but returned with new material from 2006 onward. Since then the lineup has continued to revolve around Kingsbery and the story has entered a new chapter, anchored in France with a new vocal counterpart. Live, it promises to be a set that effortlessly shifts between the familiar eighties signature and later material: tighter, sometimes more atmospheric, but always built on the same combination of melody and vocal harmonies.
