The Dead South arrive in Dublin on March 13, 2027 at Vicar Street with their own distinctive sound: bluegrass and Americana folk played like a rock band, powered by banjo, mandolin, guitars and cello. Born in Regina, Canada, the quartet (Nate Hilts, Scott Pringle, Colton Crawford and Danny Kenyon) has carved out a unique niche by blending Americana tradition, dry energy and a sense of the offbeat, never slipping into pastiche. Propelled by 'In Hell I’ll Be in Good Company,' which has become a viral classic, they have since released records that push their sound forward without smoothing it out: Good Company, Illusion & Doubt, Sugar & Joy, and Chains & Stakes. On stage, everything rests on vocal harmonies, sharp tempo shifts, and this way of telling dark or biting stories with straightforward simplicity.
