Turnover are back on stage on March 18, 2027 at The Prospect Building in Bristol, with that blend that has become their signature: an emo and indie rock foundation, guitars that know how to sound hazy, and a taste for slower tempos. Formed in Virginia Beach around Austin Getz, his brother Casey, and bassist Danny Dempsey, the band first made its mark on the pop-punk/emo scene before veering toward a sound that is more airy and textured.
From the sharp edge of Magnolia to the softer, dreamier turn of Peripheral Vision, Turnover has built its discography through successive shifts, without losing the thread of melodic and introspective songwriting. Good Nature pushed the formula toward something brighter, Altogether broadened the scope, and Myself in the Way continues this trajectory between indie, dream pop and soft grunge. On stage, these different periods respond to one another, between muffled riffs, restrained vocal lines and atmospheres that take time to settle in.
