Info
If you’ve never seen The Dead South live, expect a true road band: four guys from Regina, Saskatchewan, who play tight and fast, with their own distinctive way of twisting bluegrass, folk, and Americana. Banjos, mandolin, guitars, cello: the instrumental remains rootsy, but the energy is closer to punk than to a traditional parlour show. Their vocal harmonies snap, the rhythms take off, and black humor flickers through songs about derailments, rural myths, and conscious bad choices.
Having become a fixture since In Hell I’ll Be in Good Company, the quartet (Nate Hilts, Scott Pringle, Colton Crawford, Danny Kenyon) also relies on a repertoire that traverses Good Company, Illusion & Doubt, Sugar & Joy, and Chains & Stakes, between tradition kept intact and contemporary, boundary-pushing twists. See you on 12 March 2027 at the Cardiff International Arena in Cardiff, for an evening where the guitars bite, feet tap, and the crowd sings in unison without ever letting up.
