Dave Lofts will perform at The Garage in London on 11 November 2026. Born in County Wicklow and based in Waterford, the Irish singer-songwriter works in a vein where folk, pop and soul intersect without frills, carried by a raspy, upfront voice. Initially spotted on stage thanks to his highly emotive covers, he quickly shifted the spotlight back to his own songs, more personal, which speak of anxiety, mental health, and what we often keep to ourselves.
In his repertoire, notably 'Tell Me', 'Let Me Go Home' or 'Just A Man', songs built on melodic writing and an acoustic underpinning that leave room for emotion rather than effect. His career is also marked by a tribute to Shane MacGowan, with 'Song With No Name', and a rendition of 'Kitty' during the After Session organized in Tipperary after the Pogues' lead singer's funeral. Signed to B Unique in London, Dave Lofts has shared the bill or supported Damien Dempsey, Gavin James and Kingfishr, while playing at several major festivals across Ireland. On stage, he naturally blends his covers with his original songs in a single, direct and heartfelt momentum.
