The Music of Beverly Glenn-Copeland celebrates four decades of Keyboard Fantasies, that quietly cult 1986 record where soft synth textures, repeating patterns and a meditative voice blur the lines between folk songwriting, ambient drift and minimalist electronics. Born in Philadelphia and based in Canada since the 60s, Beverly Glenn-Copeland has built a singular path: from early acoustic, jazz-tinged folk to a more interior, keyboard-led universe inspired by nature and spirituality, later rediscovered and brought back to stages worldwide. Expect a set that puts the songs and their atmosphere front and center, with the calm intensity and clarity that made his work resonate far beyond its original release.
Owen Pallett joins the tribute from his own in-between zone: a Canadian composer and songwriter known for weaving chamber-pop precision with indie experimentation. Long associated with the Toronto scene and collaborations ranging from Arcade Fire to film scores, Pallett’s knack for orchestration and melodic structure makes him a natural guide through Glenn-Copeland’s world.
