Seedhe Maut arrives in Vancouver on September 15, 2026, at the Commodore Ballroom. The New Delhi duo, formed by Encore ABJ (Abhijay Negi) and Calm (Siddhant Sharma), has been making its way since the mid-2010s in Indian independent hip-hop, with its distinctive blend of Hindi and Urdu rap, fast flows, and highly narrative writing. Their strength lies in the complementarity of their voices and angles: one bounces off the other, spanning technical performances, more introspective tracks, and songs that hook with a more direct musicality.
Led by Azadi Records, Seedhe Maut first made a name for themselves on the capital’s open-mic circuit before building a solid discography. Bayaan (2018) laid the foundations, Nayaab (2022) extended the discourse: urban youth, social pressure, ambition, economic realities, with everyday details that give texture to the lyrics. On stage, it’s about energy, precision, and that sense of storytelling that turns each track into a lived-in scene.
