Hazlett arrives in Montreal on September 10, 2026 at the Beanfield Theatre with his intimate, sensitive indie folk, born between Brisbane and Stockholm. Driven by direct and introspective writing, the Australian songwriter moves on a human scale: acoustic guitar at the forefront, sober arrangements, a relaxed rhythm, and that voice, so close, as if it were telling the story right beside you. Based in Sweden, he has shaped his sound with producer Freddy Alexander, letting through just enough of alternative pop and discreet electronic textures. On stage, one can expect to find the laid-back aesthetic of the EP Thundering Hopes and the tracks from Bloom Mountain, his debut album released in 2023. Songs that circle around doubt, nostalgia, relationships that fray or rebuild, always guided by clear melodies and ample space between the instruments. A concert for those who enjoy when contemporary folk becomes intimate, without forcing it.
