Youngblood Brass Band defies conventions with incendiary fervor. By adopting the traditional form of a New Orleans brass band and metamorphosing it into a hip-hop beast with punk-inflected accents, this American ensemble has been delivering an unleashed groove on stages around the world for more than twenty years.
Capable of collaborating with hip-hop legends (Talib Kweli, Questlove) while rocking the planet's biggest festivals (Glastonbury, Roskilde, Pukkelpop, SXSW), YBB draws together rock, jazz, and purist indie-rap audiences with disarming ease. Signed to the British label Tru Thoughts, the group achieves the feat of capturing the raw intensity of the scene while sculpting beats that hit the speakers.
