Hermanos Gutierrez

Hermanos Gutierrez is the project of Zurich-based brothers Alejandro and Estevan Gutierrez, two Swiss-Ecuadorian guitarists who build instrumental pieces around a dialogue of twin guitars. Since the mid-2010s they’ve shaped a lean, reverb-rich sound that blends twilight western atmospheres with echoes of Latin American traditions, slow surf and a touch of Americana. Across their early albums — 8 Años (2017), El Camino de mi Alma (2018), Hoy como Ayer (2019) and Hijos del Sol (2020) — the duo honed a language of simple melodies and restrained tempos. With Alegría (2021) and El Bueno y El Malo (2022), recorded with producer Dan Auerbach, they pushed this approach onto international stages in Europe and the US, keeping the focus on interplay, texture and space rather than volume. On 1 December 2026 at Eventim Apollo, London, Hermanos Gutierrez bring their two-guitar conversation to the stage, where each phrase unrolls at an unhurried pace and lets the reverb do the talking.
