Producer and DJ Sam Huybrecht navigates between UK garage, house and bass, working with jittery percussion, weighty sub-bass and concise hooks built for both attentive listening and the dancefloor. Spotted in the late 2010s through a run of EPs and singles on specialist labels, he has sharpened a palette of tight edits, lean melodies and punchy drums that connect modern cuts to the lineage of garage, breakbeat and 2-step.
