Six60

Six60 lands at Òran Mór on 25 July 2026. Born in Dunedin’s student scene in 2008, the group built its identity around live playing and catchy, melodic hooks, blending soul, pop rock and contemporary R&B with electronics and flashes of drum and bass. Named after their old house on Castle Street, they moved from an early self-released EP to a run of albums titled Six60 in 2011, 2015 and 2019, followed by Castle St in 2022. Across these records, the band shifts between singalong pop, groove-led cuts, light reggae inflections and club-leaning rhythms.

On stage, Six60 leans into vocal harmonies, guitar drive and synth textures, with choruses built to be shared. Their catalogue also includes songs in te reo Māori, an element that grounds their sound in a clear cultural thread. Long a five-piece, they now perform as a quartet following the 2024 departure of founding drummer Eli Paewai. In Glasgow, the set typically travels across their discography, tying early favorites to newer material from Castle St, with that live-first approach that shaped the band from the start.
