Kingfishr

On 3 December 2026 Kingfishr will play the Gashouder in Amsterdam. The trio from Limerick — vocalist-guitarist Eddie Keogh, together with McGoo and Fitz — pushes folk into the present with melodies that stick, three-part harmonies and arrangements built around acoustic guitar and spare percussion. Their songs balance folk, alternative rock and a touch of indie-pop, with lyrics that reference landscapes, family and growing up.

Since the early 2020s they have steadily built their repertoire, first online and later with singles such as Flowers‑Fire and Anyway. Those tracks set the tone: quiet openings, wide-reaching choruses and tension arcs that slowly build. Live they keep things direct and unpretentious; the focus is on vocal harmony, layered guitars and a pulse that gets under the skin. After numerous shows across Ireland and the UK, from small rooms to festivals, their approach sounds sharp and purposeful. At the Gashouder all of this will have room to breathe: guitar-driven songs, warm harmonies and arrangements that unfold layer by layer, without losing sight of the song itself.
