Info
Lip Critic from Brooklyn will take the stage at Urban Spree in Berlin on 28 October 2026. The quartet — Danny Eberle, Bret Kraser, Connor Kleitz and Ilan Natter — relies on a rare lineup with two drummers. The result is a sound that tightly intertwines post-punk, electropunk and digital hardcore: hard-hitting rhythms, distorted synth layers, sampled fragments, punctuated by spoken-word passages and hoarsely barked lines. The songs build tension, pivot abruptly and edge toward the next outburst through short, jagged transitions.
Since 2019 the band has been honing this nervous, physical language. Early EPs set the course; in 2024 came the debut album Hex Dealer, followed by Theft World in 2026. Live, the ensemble condenses this material into direct, sweat-drenched takes in which percussion is at the forefront and electronics slice across like a razor. It’s not a gimmick show but a performative, precisely charged set in which the tempo constantly shifts and the dynamics tip from crystal-clear patterns into raw crash. Anyone who appreciates the intersection of hardcore energy and club textures will find a dense, uncompromising narrative arc in their set.
