Whitechapel brings its 20th Anniversary Tour to MTELUS in Montréal on November 23, 2026. Formed in Knoxville in 2006 around a three-guitar lineup and Phil Bozeman on vocals, the band has moved from the raw deathcore of The Somatic Defilement and This Is Exile to the tighter writing of A New Era of Corruption and the self-titled album. Our Endless War and Mark of the Blade leaned into groove and sharper rhythmic shifts, while The Valley and Kin introduced clean vocals and wider atmospheres without losing the weight. On stage, that evolution reads clearly, with older cuts set against the more textured material of recent years.

Chelsea Grin joins the bill with the dense, breakdown-heavy sound forged since Salt Lake City days in 2007. From Desolation of Eden and My Damnation to the recent two-part Suffer in Hell and Suffer in Heaven, the band has folded in doom, blackened and electronic accents across eras. The arrival of vocalist Tom Barber in 2018 reshaped the front line, and the catalog now spans both sides of that change, including a past linkup with Phil Bozeman.

The Acacia Strain rounds out the lineup, formed in 2001 and anchored by Vincent Bennett’s vocals. Sitting at the crossroads of metalcore and deathcore with strong doses of doom and sludge, the group alternates massive slow-motion riffs and blunt, hardcore-influenced impact. From Continent and Wormwood to the twin releases Step Into the Light and Failure Will Follow in 2023, their set draws on a discography that balances direct hits and slower, crushing passages.
