Rodrigo y Gabriela

On April 28, 2027, Rodrigo y Gabriela arrive at Circolo Magnolia in Novegro (MI), the Mexican guitar duo that has transformed the energy of metal into a personal acoustic language. Formed in Mexico City in the mid-1990s, Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero moved from early electric bands to work on the bare six strings, relocated to Dublin and honed an entirely instrumental repertoire on the streets.

On stage their dialogue is all in the gesture: Rodrigo’s guitar weaves melodic lines and sharp phrasing, while Gabriela constructs rhythm and percussion directly on the instrument, using rasgueado, palm muting and hits on the guitar body. Their music blends flamenco‑inspired inflections and Latin American rhythms with the pulse of rock and a metal echo, alternating driving passages with more open, airy moments.

The setlist draws from the albums that took them to the international stage: from re-Foc and Rodrigo y Gabriela to 11:11, including 9 Dead Alive, Mettavolution and In Between Thoughts... A New World. An essential, physical live show built on tempo, dynamics and rapport, where each piece grows through layering and rhythmic interlock.
