Michelle David is a New Yorker based in Amsterdam, specializing in the performance of gospel, soul and funk. Schooled in the church and on Broadway stages, her career — in addition to having worked as a backing vocalist for, among others, Diana Ross and Michael Bolton — encompasses some twenty albums, released across various lineups and projects. Notably, she issued four volumes of gospel between 2015 and 2020 under the title The Gospel Sessions. Her most recent work has been released with the Dutch band The True-Tones as her backing group, including two LPs: Brothers & Sisters (2024) and Soul Woman (2026).
