Strawberry Guy

Strawberry Guy is the alter ego of Alex Stephens, a Welsh musician based in Liverpool. Since releasing his first single in 2018, he has been crafting intimate, bedroom pop that has found listeners around the world. On 16 October 2026, he will perform at Casa Capitão in Lisbon.

In his music, fluid keys, melancholic melodies and intimate production build soundscapes with romantic undertones. References to Debussy and Ravel appear in the arpeggios and the breathing modulations, while echoes of dream pop and light psychedelia keep everything afloat. There is also a cinematic side, reminiscent of certain Japanese animation and video game soundtracks, where nature and detail move to the foreground.

After the EP Taking My Time to Be (2019) and the track “Mrs Magic,” which circulated widely online, Strawberry Guy consolidated this universe on the album Sun Outside My Window (2021). In 2023 he revisited two tracks with string arrangements, making them more refined and composition-focused. On stage, he brings this sensitive songwriting to a set that grows in layers, unhurried, between airy harmonies and direct lyrics about affection and the passage of time.
