Picture this: it’s silent. 6 kooks in dark mesh materialise from out of nowhere, armed with fringes, instruments, and a bag full of vegetables. The music starts — it’s chaotic, tantalising, dancey and drenched in psychedelic sweetness. Izzy is chowing on a Japanese radish. You think nothing of it until she appears right in front of you, bewitching you. Sucking you in. You can’t leave, but you don’t want to. On 12 June 2026 at The Old Blue Last, 6:00 pm.
MPTL Microplastics
8-piece industrial folk collective playing chronoplastic ballads of the future. A group of Neo-Krassical noisniks operating in the interstice of poetry, percussion and performance art. They will be playing a one-off spiritual tribute to the soundtrack of Nathan Barley.
Running Standard
6-piece project from the rural North West of England, now London-based. They play jazz-inflected experimental folk rock. The live set balances structure and rigidity with improvisation.
