Sniper

A founding group of French rap, Sniper was formed in 1997 in the Val-d’Oise around Aketo, Tunisiano, Blacko and DJ Boudj. Backed by a direct, reality‑attentive pen, the group made its mark with Du rire aux larmes, Gravé dans la roche and then Trait pour trait, blending street narratives, social perspective and a knack for hooks. In 2026, Aketo and Tunisiano revived the project on stage as a duo. On 12 March 2027 they took over L’Embarcadère in Boulogne‑sur‑Mer with a live show refocused on the essentials.

On the bill were revitalized classics, previously unheard tracks and an energy concentrated on the crew’s DNA: razor‑sharp writing, engaged angles and tight flow chemistry. Freed from yesterday’s tensions, the duo revisited a discography that defined its era while opening a window onto a more mature phase. Sniper as a duo expresses the desire to reconnect with the stage, try out new material and reaffirm a clear voice in conscious rap, between memory and the present.
