You had left Thaïs in her twenties — drinking, smoking and staying out late. You find her now squarely in her thirties and, logically, nothing has changed, except that everything is much harder, and at times like that, what better than organizing a good family meal to boost one’s self-confidence.
In case she had forgotten that she is 32, single, childless, a freelance performer, a redhead, with a tendency toward angioedema (Quincke’s edema) and kidney stones.
Come over for a drink at my place. One sentence, 12 syllables, 8 words, that Thaïs would have wished never to have to utter.
In her new show, Thaïs Vauquières invites us to an evening. She reveals the little quirks, the hidden tensions and the touching moments that make up the richness of any family.
