Haken

On 26 September 2026, Haken return to Paris and take over Le Trabendo. Formed in London in 2007 around Ross Jennings and Richard Henshall, the band has, from the start, carved out a taut line between metal and progressive rock, built on lengthy structures, shifts in time signatures and crisp melodies. After Fauna, their most recent album, Haken open a new chapter with “in a fever dream,” their first new track in three years — more direct and marked by a confident intensity.

On stage, the sextet plays up the contrast between angular riffs and atmospheric passages, with prominent keyboards, a clear vocal and a solid rhythmic foundation. The set is likely to combine this new era with songs drawn from Aquarius, The Mountain, Affinity, Vector and Virus. With the return of Peter Jones on keyboards, the guitar pairing of Richard Henshall and Charlie Griffiths, Conner Green on bass and Raymond Hearne on drums, the band hones a precise, shifting songwriting approach that balances rhythmic complexity with more immediate choruses.
