On March 8, 2027, at La Gare du Midi in Biarritz, Gilbert Montagné returns to the stage with his piano and a repertoire that spans decades. A singer and pianist at the crossroads of pop, disco and soul, he presents L’Amour dans ses mains, a new album where driving grooves sit alongside more intimate ballads. The program features recent tracks and the songs that made him known, reworked in a contemporary sound with his band.
The set will include The Fool, On va s’aimer, Les Sunlights des Tropiques, Liberté, Le blues de toi and Musicienne, alternating between communal choruses and more melodic passages. True to his keyboard playing, Montagné shifts the tempo, lets the arrangements breathe, then re-energizes the room with those memorable choruses. It’s an opportunity to hear an artist who helped shape a portion of francophone popular music, live, midway between memories and new material.
