Anthony Kavanagh « Jet Lag »

On 26 February 2027 at the Théâtre de la Gaîté Montparnasse, Anthony Kavanagh presents Jet Lag. A Quebecois comedian who has mastered the art of stand-up at the crossroads of cultures, he tackles everything that time differences provoke when you cross countries and habits. Jet Lag deals with time zones that unsettle the body, languages that mix, social codes that collide, and those moments when you no longer quite know where you come from but are fully present. Kavanagh draws on his life between Montreal and Paris to unfold everyday scenes, relationships and a connected society, moving through small faux pas and the big questions that arise when you live with your head elsewhere.

On stage he alternates stand-up, improvisation, impressions, singing and touches of dance, with a sense of rhythm that carries the audience along. It’s a brisk, physical and precise set, stamped with his signature: depicting differences without caricature, turning an idea over until he finds the common thread, then moving on to the next. Jet Lag is his ideal playground—between movement, uprooting and the pleasure of starting anew.
