Peet has established himself as a distinctive voice of Brussels’ new scene. First revealed as part of Le 77, he has refined a solo, hybrid sound in which rap, soul, funk and jazzy influences blend effortlessly. With a measured flow, sung choruses, a keen sense of atmosphere and a love of instrumentation, he favors balance and clarity, writing in a direct, accessible style.

A lyricist, singer and beatmaker, he crafts songs that speak of doubt, relationships, resilience and the passage into adulthood. With Joyboy, a very personal record marked by more organic textures and a brighter aesthetic, he pushes this intimate thread further. On stage he appears with a live band that adds depth to the arrangements, alternating introspective pieces with more driving moments, and tending to nuance without sacrificing impact.

Seen at Dour, Les Ardentes, Sziget and La Cigale, Peet arrives at Makeda in Marseille on November 13, 2026 to present Joyboy with a live band. The set is designed to navigate between groove and storytelling, with particular attention paid to the lyrics and to the role of the instruments.
