Thursday, 3 December 2026 at the Rex in Toulouse, Soen leads the evening with their finely honed prog metal. Buoyed by Reliance, their seventh album released in January 2026, Joel Ekelöf and Martín López hone a balance between rhythmic weight and clear melodies, crafted for the stage. Flanked by Lars Enok Åhlund on keyboards and guitar, Cody Lee Ford on guitar and the returning Stefan Stenberg on bass, they unfold a set where rising tensions meet brighter respites: soaring vocals, cutting guitars and a rhythm section that favors nuance over showmanship.
Tribulation adds its nocturnal touch with the blend of death metal and gothic atmospheres that has shaped their signature. After Where the Gloom Becomes Sound and the EP Hamartia, the band continues its transformation with Sub Rosa in Æternum, combining dark riffs, prominent melodic lines and a theatrical sense of tableau that comes fully to life live.
Vulkan, hailing from Karlstad, broadens the spectrum toward progressive rock/metal marked by strong contrasts. The name is well earned: beneath melodic layers surface heavier surges, metric changes and a musical narrative that plays on dynamics. An ideal link between modern tensions and cinematic atmospheres.
