SiM bring their hybrid heavy sound to Clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff on 26 January 2027. Formed in 2004 in Shonan, Kanagawa, the quartet — MAH (vocals), SHOW-HATE (guitar), SIN (bass) and GODRi (drums) — folds metalcore, nu metal and alternative rock into ska-punk upstrokes, reggae-dub textures and flashes of hip-hop. Across early releases like Silence iz Mine, then Seeds of Hope, Pandora and The Beautiful People, they shaped a writing style that switches from dense riffs and syncopated grooves to clean, melodic hooks. The more recent Thank God, There Are Hundreds of Ways to Kill Enemies, the EP Beware and Playdead continue that blend with a tighter edge.

The band also reached a broader audience with The Rumbling and Under the Tree, two tracks linked to the anime Attack on Titan. Live, SiM move between stop-start breakdowns, offbeat skanks and hard-driving choruses, playing the tension between weight and release. In Cardiff, they line up two decades of material without smoothing the corners, a set that traces their path from Shonan clubs to international stages.
