Born Bad Records - 20 ans: Gwendoline, Bracco

Gwendoline’s music couldn’t care less. It has no agenda. It doesn’t try anything — they repeat it to anyone who’ll listen: you just have to listen. Everyone will hear what they want on C’est à moi, ça, the Brest band’s second album on Born Bad. Some people wish they were Joy Division, Noir Boy George, Bruit Noir, Ventre de Biche, Les Bérus. They want their wave to be cold, grimy, dark… but that’s not their problem. At the end of 2026, Gwendoline will release her third album. On 27 November 2026 at 7:30 PM at the John Lennon Cultural Center.

On stage, Bracco is Loren, who keeps himself busy, sticks in hand, in front of an array of machines and synths. And it’s Baptiste, guitar slung around his neck, who sings with the conviction of someone who jams the mic into their mouth so the words come out better. Having fried your retinas on VHS tapes of The Cramps must help. His garage background (Los VV’s) informs a guitar style that’s raw and precise. Baptiste handles the verticality, Loren the space and horizontals: it builds something solid, even if it’s a rough‑and‑ready technique — power drills and pallet wood. You can tell they’re aiming high.
