Info
Periphery brings A Pale White Dot Tour to MTELUS in Montréal on October 27, 2026. Formed in Washington, D.C., the band has forged a progressive metal approach built on precision grooves, layered guitars and the tension between intricate rhythms and clear, melodic hooks. With Spencer Sotelo on vocals, guitarists Misha Mansoor, Jake Bowen and Mark Holcomb, and Matt Halpern on drums, the set moves from dense, syncopated riffs to spacious, atmospheric passages with a sharp sense of dynamics. Expect a tour through a catalog that spans the self-titled debut and Periphery II, the Juggernaut diptych, Periphery III and IV, up to Periphery V: Djent Is Not a Genre, with the group’s studio-minded detail carried onto the stage.
Ne Obliviscaris adds its progressive extreme metal blend, weaving clean and harsh vocals with the violin of Tim Charles at the center. Their long-form writing shifts from blast-driven surges to calmer movements with a classical tint, tracing a line from Portal of I and Citadel to Urn and Exul. With James Dorton joining on harsh vocals alongside Charles, Matt Klavins and Benjamin Baret, the Australian outfit focuses on contrasts and flow.
Greyhaven rounds out the bill with a post-hardcore and progressive metalcore tilt marked by jagged tempos, dissonant guitars and sharp left turns. From Empty Black to This Bright and Beautiful World, the Louisville band builds songs that swing between abrasive energy and wider, more melodic sections, leaning on structure and tension rather than polish.
