The Script headline Utilita Arena Birmingham on 6 November 2026. Formed in Dublin in 2001 by Danny O’Donoghue and the late Mark Sheehan, with Glen Power on drums, the band has built a pop rock and soft rock identity laced with soul and R&B writing. From their self-titled debut and Science & Faith to Sunsets & Full Moons and the 2024 album Satellites, their catalogue moves between big, melodic choruses and reflective ballads. Today the group continues around O’Donoghue and Power, joined by Benjamin Sargeant and Ben Weaver, with a live set that folds in songs such as Hall of Fame alongside newer material.
Also appearing, James Morrison brings a raspy, soul-leaning voice shaped by early busking and pub gigs, with songs that sit between acoustic folk, pop rock and British R&B. Since Undiscovered (2006) and Songs for You, Truths for Me (2008), he has pursued a direct songwriting style across The Awakening, Higher Than Here and You’re Stronger Than You Know, collaborating along the way with artists including Nelly Furtado and Joss Stone. On stage, his set balances ballads and mid-tempos led by guitar, piano and voice.
