On 8 August 2026 at Hangaren, Refshalevej 185, 1432 København, Effy brings a set shaped by breaks, electro and UK bass. Raised near Blackpool and now London-based, Sophie “Effy” Cooper found DJing at house parties as a teenager, looping drums and chasing the rush of The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers. Her 2020 debut single Fluffy Clouds, premiered by Mixmag and picked up by BBC Introducing Dance, led to a Rinse FM residency and a steady streak of club releases.

In the studio, she sculpts a direct, rave-leaning palette: acid touches, dry low-end and broken rhythms built for the floor. EPs like Not What It Seems (2022) and The Highest Level (2023) trace that line, alongside her link-up with Mall Grab on Run It and her involvement with Fragrance Recordings. On the road, she’s taken her sound to rooms like fabric, The Warehouse Project and Amnesia Ibiza, and to festivals including Parklife and Glastonbury, with support slots for Helena Hauff and Honey Dijon.

At Hangaren, she channels tight selections, bass pressure and a distinct UK club energy.
