Flambola
Flambola is a traditional maloya group. The project builds on the roots of the tradition and on transmission. The collective emphasizes the bond that unites its members and a shared passion for maloya.
Karla da Silva
Karla da Silva returns with a new release, Batuk, inspired by samba de roda, samba chula, samba de terreiro and caboclo chants. The concert creates a bridge between Brazil and the traditions of the African diaspora in Brazil, centered on rhythm, poetry and a circle of voices, drums and dances.
Votia
Marie-Claude Philéas Lambert, daughter of Gramoun Lélé, continues the maloya tradition, the percussive singing of Réunion that has become a symbol of memory and resistance. Surrounded by her husband and her children, she founded Votia. The group performs a maloya rooted in the traditions of the island’s east, with polyphonies and percussion, in Creole and Malagasy, nourished by African and Indian influences.
